About
Thame Music Therapy is a community-focused therapy practice run by Hugh Anderson. I am an HCPC-certified music therapist, BAMT-approved clinical supervisor, ABRSM-registered music teacher and performing musician.
Through my core services of Music Therapy, Specialist Music Lessons, Music Workshops and Clinical Supervision, I aim to enhance the existing network of inclusive support for children, young people and adults in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
I take referrals directly from individuals and families, as well as from schools, medical practitioners, care homes and local authorities.
I have worked as a Music Therapist in mainstream, SEN and SEMH schools, in NHS dementia and mental health settings and in community outreach centres within the charity sector.
I was Head of Therapies at Resources for Autism from 2020-2023, have taught at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and presented work to the BAMT Autism Network.
