Clinical Supervision
Online or in-person supervisory space offered to practising and trainee music therapists, as well as to music teachers and community musicians. The latter may benefit from extra support when working with complex client groups or wanting to develop different therapeutic practices.
Hugh has a wide range of clinical experiences in school, community and charity settings, as well as managing multi-disciplinary teams. He has a person-centred approach to music therapy with a particular interest in psychoanalytic dynamics and attachment styles.
"Hugh has a gentle and thoughtful approach, and helped provide insight into a particularly challenging piece of clinical work, leading me to make some important work-related decisions. Hugh provides a nourishing environment through which to explore whatever you feel like bringing to the space, and I valued that very much."
Music therapist
"Hugh’s supervision has been helpful and constructive and I always feel that opinions are welcomed, and an acceptance that there is no ‘one way’ to reflect on the clinical work. I have grown freer in movement and music, and beginning to feel comfortable with my own voice has allowed me to access a new dimension in the work."
